* At the Vioolsdrift border post you will see
* a tar road (Kotzeshoop) turning left
* Drive ±12 km on this road
* At Oewerbos River Camp sign, turn right
* Allow 7-8 hours, distance ± 685km

African Water Wanderers takes ± 150 photos during the trip.
These will be available on CD @ R50 per CD after trip (copyright). Including postage
* FOR THE FISHERMAN (especially the "Survival" addicts): a small fold-up fishing rod.
* Bring your own snacks and drinks (we recommend that you arrive with your drinks cold)
* Only cans, boxes or plastic containers.
NO GLASS PLEASE BECAUSE WE PADDLE THE RUBBISH WITH US FOR 4 DAYS
* 5 L Ice bottle will be provided for your cooler box to keep your drinks cold during the trip.
The better your cooler box the longer your ice will last
* The Orange River water is drinkable, but as the water level is unpredictable it is advisable to take water
purifying tablets. Or else take your own mineral water!! Recommended ± 1½ L/day
* Please bring your own medical supplies for insect bites & stings, muscle pain, dehydration, headaches,
asthma, diarrhoea and if you inclined to/have a personal medical condition
* Certify copies of your vehicle & trailer registration can be required at border posts.
Border posts are 24 hrs open. No cross border fees (not entering Namibia) ZA sticker is required
* Take your own pen to fill in the "Arrival Form" at the Namibian Border
* Cape Town to Oewerbos River Camp (Base Camp) is ± 685 KM (± 7 hours drive)
* Nearest petrol station from South African border: Steinkopf, 68 km
* Provide your own supper for the first night of arrival. Braai facilities & grids available.

ITINERARY:
Day 1
Custom clearance must be obtained at both borders before proceeding to our base camp in South Africa (please ask for border procedure) Arrival at our base camp in South Africa (± 17h00)
Day 2
Breakfast, packing and a safety briefing
Each client is issued with a boat (2 persons per boat), paddle and lifejacket
Big dry-bags are supplied for personal belongings, clothes, etc.
Day 2-5
During the next 4 days breakfast, lunch and dinner are served
Camp is set up each night on the banks of the Orange River
At the end we will transport the group back to base camp (±14h00)
Day 6
Departure after breakfast (NB! Inform us should you depart a day earlier)
COST: (for a guided 4 day trip on the Orange River) - A minimum of 16 adults per booking

BOOKINGS AND PAYMENT:
* Trips are to be booked in advance. As stipulated on the invoice a non-refundable 20%
deposit is required to secure your trip/date
* Full payment to be deposited into our bank account before participation to confirm booking
* We do have set dates available for smaller groups
* No credit card facilities
Included:
Boats, rafting & safety equipment, qualified guides, in-trip transport, catering & base camp facilities
Base camp facilities:
Flush toilets, clean ablutions, hot showers, cash bar, grassy & shady campsites with electricity, swimming pool & safe parking for vehicles
Excluded:
Transport from Cape Town, snacks, liquid refreshments & alcoholic beverages
